3 Ways to Wear It: Lace Dress

3 Ways to Wear It: Lace Dress

Look 1: A white dress is the perfect canvas for bringing in bright accessories. Pair a tuxedo cut pink blazer with cobalt blue pumps and a sea green statement necklace. Too much else and the outfit will get too busy. With minimal accessories, your other pieces shine.

Look 2: You don't always have to wear a dress as is. Try layering it under a skirt for a brand new look. The white lace and full folds of the skirt create a dark romantic look. Play this up with knee high black boots and dramatic chandelier earrings.

Look 3: Lace is a great texture because it works with so many different kinds of style. Here we have a bohemian inspired look with a chiffon open cape and brown suede ankle booties. Add more interest and texture by layering necklaces of different lengths.

Look 1: Dress your tank up for a bold business look by pairing it with a black blazer and red pants. Top it off with attitude filled accessories: geometric earrings, chunky gold cuff, and black ankle booties. This look can easily go to night by removing the blazer and adding a little makeup.

Look 2: Soften the bold top for weekend with a comfy shrug in a light teal and washed out jeans. Pair with sweet accessories like a heart locket, multicolored bangles, and crochet wedges for a relaxed, almost bohemian look.

Look 3: For a daring night out look, pair with leather panel ankle leggings and bright color block sandals. Edgy accessories such as spiked hoop earrings and a double finger ring round out the look. If the leather leggings don't work for your figure, you can easily swap them out for a black pant cut to suit your shape.

3 Ways to Wear It: Red Sandals

Look 1: This look is inspired by the classic/cliche French style with a black and white striped top over black jeans. Pair with a red and white head scarf and a sweet heart ring. I recommend winged eyeliner or red lips with this look.

Look 2: This is a great look for going to class in. Geek chic inspired, I took a fun graphic tank top and paired it with straight leg jeans (which look good on just about everyone). The purple cardigan matches nicely with the red shoes- red and purple are next to each other on the color wheel. Add a fun molecule necklace to show off your science smarts.

Look 3: This look is simple, but bold. By going monochromatic in a neutral, in this case cream, the red really stands out. Add a bright red statement necklace for another pop of color by your face. I added simple gold bangles to match the necklace, without taking away from the boldness.
3 Ways to Wear It: Red Button Up Shirt

This week is all about color, layering, and character inspiration.

Look 1: Inspired by Vianne Rocher from Chocolat. Most people tend to pair red with white or black. It's a safe, but overused color combo. Instead, be like Vianne and match the boldness of the red with a bright multicolored skirt and red pumps. Layer a teal cardigan for added color and warmth. Top with bold and fun accessories.

Look 2: If skirts and high heels aren't your thing, take a cue from Zoe Washburne from Firefly. Stay comfortable in khakis tucked into flat leather boots. Feel like an independent badass with a brown leather jacket and spike necklace.

Look 3: Feeling more classic? Pair your red collared shirt with a navy skirt and striped white blazer for a preppy and polished look, a la Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl. Top off with girl accents such as white tights, a red bow headband, and cap toe flats.

Look 1: This is a great casual look for weekends. Pair with a solid or simple tee in a bright color. Top off with a straw fedora, black sandals, and bangles for an outfit that's relaxed, but put together.

Look 2: If you prefer a more edgy style, pair the maxi skirt with a leather jacket. Black ankle booties add power and presence. Since the jacket and skirt are the stars of the show, accessorize just a little with silver earrings.

Look 3: Take your maxi skirt into fall with a knit vest. You can also layer a long sleeve shirt underneath for extra warmth. Add pops of autumn colors and texture with orange suede flats and wooden jewelry.

3 Ways to Wear It: Straw Cloche Hat

3 Ways to Wear It: Straw Cloche Hat

Look 1: This hat is reminiscent of the 20s and 30s. Give a nod to the past with a drop waist dress (a popular silhouette in the 20s). Add wedge sandals and gold jewelry to dress up the look. Great for a casual outdoor wedding.

Look 2: Cloche hats are very feminine. So why not pair it with a lace top and bright skirt to reflect that femininity? Again, give a nod to the past with brown oxfords and top off with a woven belt.

Look 3: Because the hat is made of straw, the outfits you wear should be on the casual side. Try wearing it a ruffled chiffon top and jean shorts for classy and casual look. Add pops of color with a bright cuff and sandals. Also, there's an interesting mix of textures between the straw, chiffon, and rope.
